There is a reason for all of this.

As mentioned before, I’m not sleeping right. Well, actually, I think I’m getting enough sleep but not at the right times. I can’t find myself falling to sleep before 2am and as a consequence it is rare that I get to work before 10am.

The problems are two-fold I guess. I don’t get to bed early enough and when I do, I can’t sleep. Oh, and now I’m a daily coffee drinker. That’s got to be related.

I’d like to take some of this guy’s advice especially in light of this discovery.

    Coffee screws me up completely. I don’t drink it any more. However, if you’re having trouble sleeping or have any anxieties about sleep, it’s probably better to get medical advice than take some crazy Brit’s blog post as guidance!

    I feel your pain. I suffer from the same affliction from time to time myself but I find a couple of things help.

    Sometimes not sleeping well is down to some underlying psychological factor. Stress at work or in your personal life can have you up all night tossing and turning. If you’d had no major lifestyle change and are now a raging insomniac - it might be something thats bothering you. Now I aint saying it is but that was the case for me.

    Coffee certainly doesnt help. If you want to drink something to help you drift off - camomile tea is really good. And of course exercise (although cliched) really does help. I found as well that if I was doing something right up until that point where I was deciding now I should go to bed - I was too worked up when trying to fall asleep. now I have to completely chill with a book for an hour or in front of the tv to let me brain slow down sufficently for me to sleep well. Kicking around on the pc before going to bed as well never helped.
