Some how, “Einstien a Go Go” by Landscape popped into my head this morning and got stuck. So, a quick Google and look on YouTube and here’s the video from 1981. It embodies all that is good great about music videos from the 1980s.
I’m not familair with their song “European Man” but the video looks like some kind of crazy 80s fun too. The song is social commentry about the predicted imminent mechanisation of the workforce and the resulting leisure time for people and the “european man” represented as a zarathustrian, aryian worker. Machines didn’t end up replacing us, they enslaved us and we work more, not fewer, hours.
The way to exercise a brain hiccup is to feed it what it wants.
The president of Tajikistan is an energetic Zarathustrian, in some sense, which I find really weird. (And he’s not Zarathustrian in the Nietzschean sense, which is probably for the better, but would be more expected.)
“
Goodgreat” yes, about sums up both videos. Thanks for the pointers!
