Like guardian angels, it’s always near

Had a really tasty, varied and inexpensive (€5.50) lunch just now, and it was all from M&S. It went a little something like this:

  • Pasta with cherry tomatoes, spinach & pine nuts with cheese and pesto dressing (This particular product is one I’ve had many times in the past and is partially responsible for my love of pine nuts)
  • Malted wholegrain bread with caramelised carrot chutney, wensleydale cheese, watercress and wild rocket.
  • 330ml squeezed Florida orange juice, not from concentrate (€1!)
  • Small cranberry and cashew bar

how on earth did you get a marksy lunch for 5.50? their salads are usually 4 quid alone!
i used to love the pasta/sun dired tomato/feta cheese salad until it gave me food poisoning. THREE TIMES.

M&S isn’t that expensive. I went for the small salad (€2.50), sandwich (€2) and juice box (€1). The little bar was from a 2 for 3 box I bought the previous day so I didn’t include that in the price, maybe that was cheating but if I work out the price … *computes* it only cost me 40¢
