Soft pulpy state

Following the previous discussion, I went to Bangers and Mash with Maria and Colm for lunch. I had some meal-deal with the word “yum” in the title that was “any mash, any gravy, beans and a drink” for €5. I would have got the vegetarian meal deal that was almost the same that included 2 tofu sausages and goes for €7.50, but was disgusted to see that they cook the vegetarian sausages on the same griddle, and touching against the pork sausages.
I went for the onion gravy and caulcannon and a 500ml bottle of water. The gravy was quite nice but far too salty. The caulcannon was nothing to write home about and the cabbage and onions are added to the mash before they microwave it to heat it up so tastes far from authentic.
Overall, despite failings, the meal was tasty and good value for a fiver. Would dine again++

far too forgiving, that place is shite.

It was cheap and tasty, what’s wrong with that? It could’ve been a whole lot worse.

A fiver for some mash, beans and a can/bottle of water isn’t cheap.

It must have improved if it was actually tasty as well :)

Yes, €5 for that IS cheap.

the bottle of water alone would have cost 1.50 making my 5 scoops of mash, generous portion of beans and gravy €3.50.

Stop telling me wether I did or didn’t enjoy it!

    It’s not proper water.
