Firefox 1.5 was released yesterday, here’s a comprehensive changelist.

John came over for dinner yesterday and I had a go at making rasp (grated potatoes, milk, plain white flour and salt fried on a pan). It came out ok-ish. I’ll keep trying.

    Is that rasp shite Czech?

I once went to a party where that was the food of the soir, the stuff had been sitting in a basin for a couple of hours and naturally enough turned a nice shade of brown. Gag reflex.

“rasp (grated potatoes, milk, plain white flour and salt fried on a pan)”

Is rasp by any chance a local or family term? What you are describing sounds very like a plain rosti while a rasp is the tool used to do the grating.
