Talk Hard

Had a really nice dinner last night, home made veggie burgers and potato wedges courtesy of Gourmet John and chop-happy Helena. So nice was it that I’m probably going to buy a hand blender so I can do similar.
I’ve also to buy a new suitcase as there’s a possibility I’ll be going to Bangladesh at the end of this month. My current suitcase gave up the ghost having being across the world twice in the same month just before I got to my door on my final trip home.
The suggestion of going to Bangladesh again doesn’t phase me so much this time, in fact, I sort of volunteered. Anything to get out of the office. If I don’t have to travel I will have to work Bangladesh hours in the Dublin office for a few days.
With dinner last night we watched Christian Slater in ‘Pump Up the Volume‘, neither the worst nor best film ever made. Run of the mill teen empowerment romp that should have been made a few years earlier and have had Alley Sheedy in the role of the black-wearing, interesting female.
I ordered an iSkin (orange of course) for my new iPod a few weeks ago an it hasn’t arrived yet. I queried the delay with the store I bought it off and they have since marked the item as lost in the post and say they’ve shipped me another. I think something fishy might be going on.

[ Update ]
My ugly orange iSkin (maybe I shouldn’t have gone to so much trouble to get the orange one that was unavailable everywhere in Toronto and bought a white one) arrived this after noon which I think proves that the best way to get things to happen is to complain about it on the Internet.

Straight in like a rush

It’s time to update my Great Circle and Visited Countries maps. (Previously here and here)

Following my expeditions last month I have now travelled a total of 45105 miles by air, up from 26729 in May:

Air travel Map

And my visited countries jumps to 8:

Visited World

Artificial, Antiquated, Automated Intelligence

Oh `fortune`, how cruel you are;

Afternoon very favorable for romance. Try a single person for a change.

C’est ne pas un touriste

Rumours of my demise are very much non-existent.

Had a great time in Toronto as usual. Bought lots of stuff, including a new camera, iPod and iSight. The latter two came from a pilgrimage to the Apple Store in York Dale.
Saw Polysics live.
Went to a Burlesque Show.
Screamed like a girl on the ‘coasters at Canada’s Wonderland.
Visited the islands at night and saw the night fall over the city. Missed the ferry back and got a water taxi.
Walked around Cabbagetown, the Toronto Necropolis and a working model farm.
Caught Yacht Rock fever.
Hung out with freinds and and had a good, relaxing time.
Ate like a pig. Seriously.
Took plenty of pictures, have uploaded most of them, there are some more to come.
