“The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.”
“Is it possible to learn these powers?”
“Not from IBM.”
Misunderstood by everyone, everywhere.

IBM, Intel… Frying pan, fire…
My brother went for an interview with intel today, would be awesome if he got it….
yeay for intel!!!
no no, you got it all wrong
The best part is that now you get to hear the Intel “dooh-dee-dee-dooh” with every Apple ad as well.
They only have to play the jingle and display the logo if they mention the processor product by name and I really, really, really hope they get a waiver from the Intel marketing department so that they don’t have to defile their own marketing.
HyperMegaGlobo Corp 1 signs a deal with HyperMegaGlobo Corp 2 in order to get a better deal than the one offered by HyperMegaGlobo Corp 3 and yet, people seem to distinguish between the relative, perceived ‘evilness’ of 2 and 3 in order to help the maintenance of their idealised conception of 1’s ‘purity’ and ‘goodness’ (created by 1’s remarkably effective marketing department).
The “evil” jibes were just a joke, I don’t mean that seriously, of course. I was just alluding to Intel being the dark side, or rather the product in question, not the company its self.
I’m more concerned about what I perceived as one of the major benefits of the Macintosh platform, the PowerPC, no longer being present. There is some evidence, although I can’t speak with authority, that Intel have closed the performance gap between the x86 and PowerPC architecture with their recent chips.
Time will tell, young padawan, time will tell.
From what I’ve read the PowerPC chip (or rather IBM’s lack of development of the PowerPC chip) has been more of a hinderence than a benefit recently - particularly to the laptop lines. Anyway, as a fan of Apple’s fine products, I trust that the board know far more about what’s best for the company and their products than any of us comsumer types, no matter how tech literate we may or may not be.
The reason Apple have decided to go with Intel, is because Apple can’t design a processor to compete with Intels range without over heating..
AMD is looking good.
