One synodic revolution later…

I’ve had my DS for a while and I really like it. It was a great companion on recent flights. There aren’t too many games for it at the moment but there’s lots of good titles coming RSN.
Electroplankton, [ lots / of / news / and / reviews ], is a much hyped title that’s just been released in Japan that might never make it over here. So, instead of waiting for something that might never come, I ordered it from Lik Sang last night. The price was actually a little lower than what Play.com charge for DS games and Lik Sang are doing free delivery at the moment. Bargain!

For gaming and specifically Nintendo DS related news I’ve been checking out these sites recently:

And, here’s my del.icio.us page for DS stuff.

As a fellow DS owner, I find your post to be both informative and entertaining. May you not be stung for customs charges (highly unlikely, but it happened to my brother once). Should it not be released here, I’ll be providing custom to Lik Sang or Play Asia myself sometime.

My DS game of the moment is Zookeeper, and I don’t even like puzzle games that much - it’s just such a perfect game for the touch screen. I’m also very much looking forward to Meteos, from the same studio that produced Lumines for the PSP. I want!

Isn’t Zookeeper quite like Bejeweled? I already have that for my Palm. I’ll buy it when it comes down in price a little like it has done in the US.
I love this Penny Arcade strip.

    Cliph,

Yup, Bejeweled has the same basic gameplay as Zookeeper. There’s something about using the pen directly on the glyphs that makes it much more fun though - it’s more immediate, you don’t have the extra layer of using the mouse or buttons to get in your way of moving the blocks.

I twitter on about this kind of thing in this blog entry!

My Palm uses a stylus ;)
Zookeeper has better facial expressions for when you match the animals.
    The Jewels don’t emote.
