Untethered constitutional

WiffyPalm T3 + WiFi SD Card + Wiffi = (very inconspicuous) WarWalking

Went WarWalking this evening and found 21 access points between my house and the cinema, including my previous place of work. It was one of only 5 using WEP.
Unfortunately Wiffi currently lacks the ability to export results but that is being worked on.

Yeah, there seems to be lots and lots of open wifi around Dublin at the minute.

In fact I’m posting this via an open ap somewhere near where I live. Not sure where but I get between 1 and 3 bars strength which is good.

If I had noticed this entry when I was round Cs earlier I would have posted it from the free wifi in around her appartment.

    Which is nice.

What a wonderful world it is when you can pluck Internet access out of the sky.

Brings a whole new meaning to ethernet…

Well, it kind of reinforces the same meaning.

The iPaq has builtin wifi — the one thing that turned me off Palm was lack of integrated wifi and lack of free 802.1x support. It was funny walking through mountain view and picking up 9 wifi networks at a time :-)

I hope mine wasn’t one of them!

*Shaky fist*! You pesky kids! Stealing internet from the sky!

    :P (pot, kettle!)

Yes, “yours” was one of them ;)

Every time my broadband connection goes down I silently thank my neighbors for their lack of security and switch to thier wifi :-)
